BELLA ERDMANN GETS AN AUDIOBOOK

The short story that started it all—THE DEATH & REBIRTH OF BELLA ERDMANN finally has its own audiobook. It was created using a digital voice from INaudio, by way of Spotify, and is now available across multiple audiobook platforms.

I created this digital voice audiobook after feeling disappointed with the one I created through Apple Books for MYTHIC: SHADOW OF THE SPARK. On that project, the digital voice made egregious pronunciation mistakes, including everyday words that should never have given it any trouble. After I learned that the INaudio platform partnered with Spotify offers a way to edit and adjust how the digital voice pronounces words, I decided to try it with a smaller book first. I experimented with it and learned the ropes.

The result is a digital audiobook for BELLA ERDMANN that sounds and performs leaps and bounds better than my previous effort. It’s not flawless, but the discrepancies this time are minimal and excusable, whereas the previous ones were downright irritating.

My intention is to remove the Apple Books audiobook once the Spotify version of MYTHIC: SHADOW OF THE SPARK is complete.

Of course, both are just holdovers until my proper human narrator can record his version of the audiobook. For now, you can enjoy the digital audio version of BELLA ERDMANN.
